Information collected through the website and enquiries.
Netlify may process technical request information, such as an IP address, browser or device details, the requested page and the time of the request, to deliver, protect and troubleshoot the site.
This website includes no enquiry form, user account, first-party analytics or advertising pixel. The home page does include an embedded Google Maps street view. When it loads, Google may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser or device details, referrer and time of request, and may use cookies or similar storage under its privacy policy.
If you open WhatsApp, Meta processes information through that service. The accommodation contact receives the profile and contact details you make available, together with the message and stay details you choose to send.
The property has one exterior security camera at the main gate. It is used to protect guests, the property and its contents. It does not cover the inside of the house. Footage may show people and vehicles arriving at or leaving the property. Recordings are kept on a memory card at the property and are overwritten automatically after about three days.
Sending an enquiry is voluntary. Without the contact and stay details needed to handle your request, the accommodation may not be able to respond, prepare a quote or arrange a booking. A child's age should be supplied by a parent or guardian only where it is needed for the enquiry.

Why we use your information.
We use this information to:
- Respond to an enquiry and check availability.
- Prepare a quote and arrange or manage a booking.
- Keep necessary payment, accounting, dispute and legal records.
- Protect the website, communications and booking process from misuse.
- Protect guests, the property and its contents using the exterior camera at the main gate.
No marketing list: this website has no mailing list. We do not sell or rent enquiry details, or use them for unrelated direct marketing.
Who receives your information.
Netlify processes website requests, Google processes the embedded map on the home page, and WhatsApp or Meta processes messages sent through WhatsApp. These providers may process information outside South Africa under their own service arrangements.
The current public website has no online booking or payment service. This notice must be updated before another provider is used to handle guest, booking or payment information.
Security camera footage is viewed by the property owner. It is shared with the police or an insurer only where this is needed for a security incident, an insurance claim or a legal dispute.
Information is deleted, destroyed or de-identified when it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected, unless a contract or South African law permits or requires longer retention.
Ask to access, correct or delete your information.
Subject to POPIA and other applicable law, you may ask whether we hold your personal information, request access or correction, ask us to delete information we no longer need, or object to certain processing on reasonable grounds.
Access to business records is explained on the PAIA page. If a privacy concern is not resolved, you may use the Information Regulator's complaints service.
